All day brasserie

I have already talked about this restaurant in an older post but that time I concentrated in the breakfast menu. Today is all about dinner, and a really good filling one at the Round House Cafe in Fitzrovia. The occasion was a birthday celebration, although we may now have to consider adding a new job, possibly a new house and a wedding that will happen before the end of the year. So definitely this is a place for celebrations - and yes my friend is a bit crazy making all these life changes in a short period of time; so long to delayed gratification.

This restaurant offers the possibility of all day eating and drinking, with a varied menu of cocktails and salads, meats and different fish dishes. So it accommodates all tastes, which lately I found more and more handy - between the vegetarians, the allergies, the intolerance and the personal likes it is sometimes crazy to find a place to accommodate it all. But bear one thing in mind, regardless the time it is convenient that you book in advance as it tends to be quite packed.

We decided to share some starters, as the menu offers different small plates perfectly designed to share - just note that these plates are well defined as small so you will need like 1 per head. All of the things we tried were very tasty so the more you can get to try the better. For the mains we almost all agreed in the beef Wellington. The meat was perfectly cooked and the pastry was so soft and moisture that it melts in your mouth. We didn't have enough room for dessert, so if you're a pudding lover, maybe you prefer to cut on the starters.

The service was nice and friendly, although they kind of pushed us out when we finished - we were probably within the last 3 tables in the place - so that wasn't very nice, especially when the place is not cheap making the service charge quite substantial.
