If you are around the Notting Hill area and your plan is to
head towards Kensington High St (or the other way around), you must then cross
through Holland Park. If you come from the North (Notting Hill) you will entre
via the back doors, and you will be psyched about getting into the forest in
the middle of the city. It’s quite unbelievable and mystic.
Among all the parks that I’ve been to in London – there are
quite a few – this one is quite particular, as walking around the forest you
may cross an area that looks like a farm and you can potentially see cows, and
then arrive to a small Japanese garden (my favourite part). This garden is a
gift from the Japanese, and it’s an area to meditate and find peace, so just
make sure you don’t visit on school breaks as there will most certainly be kids
screaming at the big fish. There is also a café, an art gallery, and an area
dedicated to dogs so all possible publics can be entertained ;-)
