Gentlemen of the Road

in their summer stampede 2013... another sunny morning in London, that even if it's been quite regular lately we are still not used to it, and we're off to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Sounds like a similar plan from last weekend? It actually is ;-)

This time there was a different line up headlined by Mumford&Sons, that yet again since their last appearance in Glastonbury, have boosted their record sales. And that's totally understandable because these guys are amazing. We've had the chance to see them a few times now, and I just love them more and more each time. I have to admit that it has reached to the point of devotion.

In this occasion, Mumford&Sons were accompanied by some other artists; the first band we saw was Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, quite falky with a lot of instruments and good tunes. Then it was the turn for Ben Howard, and even if most of what he played was from his new material, we almost melted whilst he played the guitar and sang along - he's hot and it was hot, what can I say? Finally, before Mumford&Sons, it was the turn for Vampire Weekend. Ezra came out in his New York style shorts and with black Wayfarer on... OMG! although I have to admit that I enjoyed their music more when they played at Troxy, as all the different instruments and melodies they use are better perceived in the indoors. But well, to me they were fantastic anyways!

And for the final act it was them: Marcus, Ben, Country and Ted. They've been touring non-stop - excluding the break that they've made in their US tour - for almost a year, selling out every single concert. They are awesome and they definitely know how to get a crowd going for hours, dancing along their songs, singing and being merry! I can't wait to see them again.
